What are membership grades?

Grade	Typical entry requirement	Annual Sub
Licentiate	The first two years of a relevant degree	£60.00
Graduate	A relevant honours degree	£70.00
Associate Member	A relevant honours degree plus a year’s post graduate experience, or four years’ experience	£95.00
Member	A relevant honours degree plus four years’ experience, or eight years’ experience	£105.00

How do I apply?

The IAP has high standards, but if you have the right skills and experience it is easy to join. There is just one form to fill in. Beyond that all you will need is a current CV and a daytime number where we can contact you.

When your application has been approved we will ask you to pay the one-off registation fee (£30.00) and your first annual subscription. IAP subscriptions are tax deductible and there is no VAT.

The not-so-quick way

Let the Institution Office know your postal address and we will send you a brochure and an application form. Contact details appear at the bottom of this page.

What happens next?

1. Immediately we receive your application we make an initial assessment. If we need more details we call you.
2. Your application will then be put before the Council's membership committee, which meets on the first Wednesday of every month.
3. If the committee is satisfied you will become a member of the Institution straight away.
